Articles of note: One article on the town warrant asks whether the town should adopt an ordinance defining and regulating conflicts of interest for local officers, committee members and employees. A ballot article asks voters whether the town should amend the zoning ordinance to expand the number of housing units that can be included in a single structure in the Lyme Center, Lyme Common and commercial zoning districts.

Contested races: Two people are running for one three-year term on the selectboard: Michael Hinsley and Phil Kinsler. There are no contested races for the School Board.

Budgeting and spending articles: The proposed operating budget is $3.16 million, up from $3 million last year. The proposed school operating budget is $9.86 million, up from $9.4 million last year.

When, where and how to vote: The annual school meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 5 in the Lyme School gymnasium at 35 Union St. Ballot voting for three Town Meeting articles related to electing officers and zoning ordinances will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10 in the Lyme Community Room in the Lyme School. Town Meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 14 in the same location as Tuesday’s ballot voting.
