Article of note: One warrant article asks whether voters want to adopt a five-year moratorium on the siting and construction of AI and crypto data centers in Royalton.

Contested races: There are no contested races.

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed general fund budget is $2.56 million, of which $2.28 million would come from taxes. The proposed highway budget is $1.6 million, of which $1.45 million would come from taxes. Voters also will be asked whether they want to raise $180,000 in taxes to resurface Pleasant Street and the paved portion of Oxbow Road. Last year, voters approved a $2.1 million general fund budget and a $1.5 million highway budget.

When, where and how to vote: Town Meeting will be held Tuesday, March 3 at 10 a.m. at the White River Valley School, 223 S. Windsor St. in South Royalton. Ballot voting for officers will take place on the same day and in the same location from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
