Article of note: One article asks voters to approve a $1.5 million bond to repair a dam, complete a skate park and construct town highways. Another article asks voters to approve a $500,000 bond to purchase a ladder truck.
Contested races: Incumbent Jeffrey Johnson is facing challenger Eric Saltonstall for a two-year seat on the Selectboard.
Budgets and spending articles: The proposed budget is $7.36 million with $5.55 million to be raised by taxes. Last year, voters approved a $6.9 million operating budget. Voters will also be asked to approve $110,000 in appropriations for nonprofits and community organizations and $100,000 for the library.
When, where and how to vote: Town Meeting will be held on Monday, March 2 at 7 p.m. at the Windsor Welcome Center, 2 Railroad Ave. Following the meeting there will be a public informational hearing to discuss Australian ballot articles. Australian ballot voting to elect town officers and approve the budget and spending articles will be Tuesday, March 3 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Windsor Municipal Building, 29 Union Street.
