The Dartmouth menโs hockey team picked up its third win in a row on Friday, dispatching Harvard 3-1 in Cambridge, Mass., to gain a season sweep of the Crimson.
Nikita Nikora, Matt Fusco, and Austin Salani lit the lamp for the Big Green, while goaltender Emmett Croteau had 21 saves on the night.
The Big Green are now 17-6-1 overall, 11-4-1 in conference play, and are No. 12 in the nation in the latest USCHO.com rankings.
Dartmouth now hits the road to face Yale on Friday at 7 p.m. and Brown on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Womenโs squash picks up a win
On Sunday, the Big Green hosted Tufts and came away with a 5-4 victory. Xiang Xiang Liu, Ellie Clifford, Nathalie Taylor, Kriti Muthu, and Callie Worth picked up the wins for Dartmouth.
The Big Green are now 5-6 overall and 1-3 in conference play. They host Williams on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., then hit the road for matchups with Princeton on Saturday at noon and Penn on Sunday at noon.
Menโs squash victorious
Dartmouthโs menโs squash squad also hosted Tufts on Sunday and came away with a win of its own, 7-2. Gurshan Jolly, Arihant Kalamangalan Sunil, Wei Yan Tho, Sam Boulanger, Brandon Wang, Callan Venkatesan, and Warren Klein notched victories for the Big Green.
Dartmouth is now 6-5 overall and 1-3 in conference play. It hosts Williams on Wednesday at 5:30, then it goes on the road for matchups with Princeton on Saturday at noon and Penn on Sunday at noon.
Skiing finishes second at Vermont Carnival
The Big Green were runners-up at last week’s event hosted by the University of Vermont and had some standout performances.
On Thursday, Oscar Zimmer (2:03.29) finished second for the men in the giant slalom. Dartmouth also had a second-place finish for the women from Carly Elsinger (2:08.81).
In Fridayโs slalom, Zimmer (1:48.78) finished first.
Zoe Zimmermann finished first for the women (1:53.87).
As for Fridayโs classic sprint, Aaron Power (3:37.4), who was eighth, was the Big Greenโs top menโs finisher, and Amelia Tucker (4:03.4) led the way for the women, finishing fourth.
On Saturday, the final day of the event, athletes competed in the 10K Freestyle. Jack Lange (26:53.8) was the top finisher for the men in eighth, while Ava Thurston (30:25.5), who finished fifth, was the top womenโs finisher for Dartmouth.
The Big Green will next compete at the Williams Carnival, which begins on Friday.
Zimmermann earns skier of the week honors
Last week, Zoe Zimmermann was named the womenโs alpine skier of the week by the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association.
Notably, Zimmermann won the slalom event at the Dartmouth Carnival, which took place from Jan. 30 to Jan. 31.
Swimming and Diving competes in Massachusetts
Members of the womenโs swimming and diving team competed at the Boston Open hosted by Boston University on Friday and Saturday.
Highlights include Xzana Duranovich getting a lifetime best in the 200-meter individual medley (2:21.82), tying her best time in the 50-meter freestyle (26.18), and tying her season-best in the 200-meter breaststroke (2:29.69).
Additionally, Sasha Dauletau had a season best in the 100-meter butterfly (57.29) and a college-best in the 100-meter freestyle (52.92), while Sophia Brown notched her top performances of the season in the 500-meter (5:13.55) and 200-meter freestyle (1:57.89).
As for diving at the Northeastern Diving Invite on Saturday, Adam Man, Chiara Lopach, and Milly Kirman qualified for the NCAA Zones.
The womenโs squad will next head to Providence, R.I., for the Ivy League Championship, which begins on Feb. 18. The men will also head to the Ivy League Championship in Princeton, N.J., which begins on Feb. 25.
Track and Field competes at Riverhawk Invitational
The Big Green had encouraging performances on the menโs and womenโs teams at the event hosted by UMass Lowell on Friday and Saturday.
Mariella Schweitzer (5.94m) won the long jump for the women, Andie Murray (1:14.16) finished second in the 500-meter for the women, and Katherine Strong (4:56.91) finished second in the mile for the women.
As for the men, Roy Leibovitz (15.24m) won the triple jump, and Sam Starrs won the pole vault (4.70m).
The Big Green will have athletes compete in the Crimson Open and the Valentine Invitational, both of which begin Friday in Massachusetts.
Womenโs soccer alum competing at Olympics
Bianca Ribi, who graduated from Dartmouth in 2018 and was a member of the womenโs soccer team, is representing Canada in two-person bobsledding.
After her time at Dartmouth, Ribi has competed in multiple International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation World Championships.
Menโs tennis goes 1-1 on Saturday
The Big Green dropped their first home contest on Saturday against Indiana, 4-3. Miles Groom and Yujiro Onuma had singles wins, while the duos of Henry Ren and Groom and Kornel Halmos and Denny Bao had wins in doubles.
Dartmouth recovered from its loss quickly, though, and blanked Holy Cross, 7-0, on Saturday. Halmos, Adrian Treacy, Calvin Wang, Malhar Patel, and Bao got singles wins. Patel and Wang, Bao and Halmos had the doubles wins.
The Big Green are now 6-1 overall, and athletes will be competing in the ECAC Men’s Indoor Tennis Championships, which begin on Friday in Princeton, N.J.
Womenโs tennis goes winless at indoor championships
The Big Green dropped all of its matches at the ECAC Indoor Championships in Princeton, N.J., which took place from Friday to Sunday, falling 4-3 to Penn, Cornell, and Harvard.
Sam Grosjean and Peyton Capuano had the singles wins, while the duos of Capuano and Michela Moore and Grosjean and Alexandra Orlins had the doubles wins against Penn.
Against Cornell, Grosjean and Capuano won in singles, while Capuano and Moore, and Grosjean and Orlins won in doubles.
Finally, against Harvard, Grosjean and Lauren Han had singles wins, while Josephine Lombardi and Elise Wong, and Grosjean and Orlins won in doubles.
The Big Green (4-3) will next take on the University of Toledo on Feb. 21 and Michigan State University on Feb. 22.
Womenโs hockey losing streak continues
This past weekend, the Big Green hosted two top-ten teams, Princeton and Quinnipiac, and was blanked by both. Dartmouth fell to Princeton 5-0 on Friday and to Quinnipiac 3-0 on Saturday.
Big Green goaltender Jiahui Zhan had 36 saves against Princeton and 33 saves against Quinnipiac.
With the losses, the Big Green are now 4-21-3 overall, 2-15-3 in conference play, and have dropped eight straight games. They travel to Union on Friday for a 3 p.m. matchup, then to RPI on Saturday for another 3 p.m. game.
Womenโs basketball drops latest contest
The Big Green traveled to Cambridge, Mass., on Saturday for a game with Harvard and fell to the Crimson 75-35. Alexandra Eldredge was the lone Dartmouth player to score in double figures, notching 10 points.
Dartmouth is now 10-11 overall and 1-7 in conference play. The Big Green will look to bounce back with road dates against Brown on Friday at 7 p.m. and Yale on Saturday at 5 p.m.
Menโs basketball loses to Harvard
Dartmouthโs menโs basketball team also faced Harvard on Saturday and lost at home, 71-58. Jayden Williams led the Big Green in scoring with 19 points.
The only other Dartmouth player to score in double figures was Brandon Mitchell-Day, who had 14 points. He also grabbed 13 rebounds for a double-double.
The Big Green are now 10-11 overall and 4-4 in conference play. They host Yale on Friday at 7 p.m. and Brown on Saturday at 6 p.m.
