Standing against apartheid in Hartford
Hartford residents will have the opportunity to vote in favor of Hartford being an apartheid-free community at Town Meeting Day.
What does that mean? The statement we will vote on includes:
Hartford affirms our commitment to freedom, justice and equality for the Palestinian people and all people.
We oppose all forms of racism, bigotry, discrimination and oppression.
We declare ourselves an apartheid-free community.
We join others in working to end all support to Israel’s apartheid regime, settler colonialism, and military occupation.
Please join the many voters who will vote in favor of this advisory resolution, which is Article 30 on the Hartford Town Meeting ballot.
