HARTFORD โ Three Hartford residents with active arrest warrants were taken into custody at 27 Winter St. in White River Junction on Tuesday.ย
An unrelated investigation led Hartford Police officers to the address in Chambers Trailer Park at 10:09 a.m., according to a Hartford Police news release.
Hartford Police Lt. William Furnari did not provide details on the investigation, only that the person they were looking for was not there at the time.
Instead, Richard Taylor, 46, of Hartford, answered the door and โimmediately closed it upon seeing officers,โ the news release said.
Taylor had three active arrest warrants, including two Vermont warrants for violation of conditions of release, one possession of heroin and a New Hampshire warrant for violation of probation. While applying for a search warrant, the release stated, officers established a perimeter around the residence.
Norwich Police provided assistance, the release said.
Vermont Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Mann granted the search warrant for officers to arrest Taylor, and while executing the search warrant, officers also located April Sanville, 36, and Dana Wescott, 42, both Hartford residents, the release said.
According to police, Sanville had an instate arrest warrant for failure to appear for a retail theft charge and Wescott had an instate arrest warrant for aggravated assault with a weapon, simple assault, criminal threatening, aggravated disorderly conduct and petit larceny.
The Valley News previously reported in March 2023 that Sanville and Wescott pleaded not guilty to charges of assault, robbery and unlawful restraint after the pair was accused of attempting to rob a woman at a motel in Hartford.
Charges in the case were dropped in May 2024, the Valley News reported, after the death of the alleged victim and a challenge by Sanvilleโs attorney that police tainted a witnessโ account.
