West Lebanon, NH – Mary Ann Munn, 95, passed peacefully at her home in West Lebanon on Sunday, January 11, 2026. She had lived a long, wonderful life and was surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born in Enfield, NH on November 14, 1930, to the late Elsie May (Wallace) and James Edward Stewart. She graduated from Enfield High School, Class of ’48, and married David Earl Munn in Lebanon, NH in 1954.
Mary stayed home to raise her four children and when they were old enough, she went to work at the old at the old MHMH as supervisor of the Registration desk. She retired after 25 years of service.
Mary was a member of the West Lebanon Congregational Church, the West Lebanon Valley Homettes (Gab Gab Group), and her retired friends’ breakfast club that met weekly for over 35 years. She and her husband liked to take days trips around NH and VT, Ogunquit, Maine and Stowe, Vermont were their favorites. Mary was always active with walking and exercise and was a member of Curves well into the 80’s until they closed.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making mittens and afghans for family and friends, baking, dancing, watching Lawrence Welk on Saturday nights, and family dinners and get-togethers.
Mary is survived by her children, Deborah (David) Bocash, Thomas Munn, and Donna Stender; six grandchildren, Christopher Bocash, Amanda Howe, Matthew Stender, Meghan Hicks, Kyle Munn, and Tiffany Munn; eight great-grandchildren; nieces, Ann Watson, Nancy Hall, Linda Downing, Kathy Rogers, Janet Archer, Martha Silk, Brenda Wierin, Gail Davis, Louise Perrier, Barbara Stewart, and Fran Bean; and nephews, David Stewart, Gary Davis, Mike Stewart, Bill Shuttleworth, David Bean, and Mike Bean who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, David, in 2008; son, Douglas James Munn, in 2012; four brothers, Reginald, Wallace, Rankin, and Robert Stewart; three sisters, Elsie Belden, Irene Davis, and Muriel Stewart; and niece, Priscilla Baravalle.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the West Lebanon Congregational Church with a reception to follow. Burial at West Lebanon Cemetery at a later date.
