Non-profit supports e-bikes
Thank you for your article about the E-Bike Project, which aims to install the Upper Valley’s first electric bike charging station (Jan. 6, 2026). The story neglected to mention that the project is fiscally sponsored by the non-profit Friends of Lebanon Recreation, Arts and Parks, which is accepting donations at https://tinyurl.com/5f9wp7ce.
For those online “readers” who left comments objecting to the idea of the City of Lebanon spending any money on this project, let me repeat what the story makes clear — No city funds are being used for the E-Bike Project. No taxes, no city money, no staff time. Nada. I hope they actually read the Valley News before they leave comments in the future.
