Norman “Tiger” C. Thurston

Barre, VT – Barre, VT – Norman (Tiger) C. Thurston, Jr., 62 of Barre, VT, passed away unexpectedly on 12/31/25. Norman was born on September 24, 1963 in Lebanon, NH, the son of the late Gloria M. Stone and Norman C. Thurston, Sr.

Norman leaves behind his children: Jason Thurston of Bradford, VT, Stacey Thurston of Camden, DE, Samantha Thurston of Chelsea, VT; his sisters: Dawn Granger of Jefferson, GA and Fawn Wisneski of Jacksonville, FL; his half-brothers: Kenneth Stone, Jr. of Claremont, NH, Kevin Coffin of Newport, VT, Steven Coffin of Hinsdale, NH, Wendell Coffin of Newport, VT; his step-sisters: Deborah Perkins of Claremont, NH, Linda Nault of Bradford, VT, Rhonda Besaw of Derby, VT, Pamela Coffin of Newport, VT; his step-brother: Ashley Stone of Zellwood, FL; 6 grandchildren, a handful of nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Norman was predeceased by his parents as well as several step-brothers.

Norman spent most of his life in Enfield, NH as well as Bradford, VT and Newport, VT.

Norman loved hunting, fishing and being surrounded by nature. He loved sharing stories of his many adventures. He was a kind and gentle spirit who sadly suffered with health issues that affected his well-being. He spent his young years working at Raphael’s in Enfield, NH tossing pizza dough before relocating to Bradford, VT where he spent many years working at CCM Maska until he found his true love, construction. He loved operating heavy equipment and learning new challenges. Mostly, he loved his family and friends and will be missed by many.

Burial will commence in the Spring at the West Bradford Cemetery in Bradford, VT.
