LEBANON — Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s current chief financial officer and senior vice president of finance for the Dartmouth Health system will step into a new role of CFO of the system this weekend.
Wendy Fielding will take over as CFO of the DH system effective Saturday, according to a news release from the Lebanon-based health network.
“This appointment recognizes Wendy’s longstanding leadership and impact at Dartmouth Health,” DH CEO and President Joanne Conroy said in the release. “Wendy is widely respected for how she leads. She is known for her collaborative approach and ability to translate financial information into meaningful insights. Her commitment to listening, fairness, inclusion and shared accountability will help us continue to strengthen trust and partnership.”
Fielding originally came to DH from Mount Desert Island Hospital in Bar Harbor, Maine in 2009. In Lebanon, she started as vice president of financial planning for DHMC and clinics, and was promoted to serve as CFO of DHMC and senior vice president for DH in 2021.
Fielding will take over from current CFO Daniel Jantzen who is retiring after being in the role since 2016. Jantzen earned $1.17 million in calendar year 2023, according to the health system’s most recent federal tax filing.
DH conducted a national search to fill the role, spokesperson Audra Burns said. She declined to say how many candidates were considered.
