Hanover, NH – Edward Frederick Crory, 64, of Tutzing, Germany, passed away on September 22nd, 2025, after a hard-fought battle against cancer. Edward was born September 18, 1961, the son of Frederick E. and Elizabeth A. Crory of Hanover. Ed married Sabine Gabriele Meyer on July 14, 1997, in Bayreuth, Bavaria. They had two children: Thomas-James (TJ) and Kimberley Ann.
A devoted father, husband, and friend to all he met, “Eddie” will be remembered for his love of skiing, golf, classic rock, garlic and sunflower farming, thrift shopping, outgoing personality and acting on his plan to become fluent in German, get a degree in turf management, and then move to Germany to pursue a (three decades-long) career as a golf course superintendent.
Ed was a graduate of Hanover High, and Arizona State University. He attended Middlebury College and received a Turfgrass Science & Management degree (AS) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Edward is survived by his wife Sabine, son TJ, daughter Kimberley, sisters Ellen Forkas (Chris) and Ann Thompson (Ted), brothers Tom (Sandy) and Dave Crory. He is preceded in death by parents Fred and Elizabeth and younger brother, Stephen John.
Family and friends held a private memorial service in Tutzing sharing stories and playing his music, including his favorite song: Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas.
To celebrate Edward, he would be humbled if you planned something fun with your loved ones, donate to a local thrift store, or maybe dressing up as Santa Claus for a holiday market.
