Beverly B. Balch

Hanover, NH – Beverly Breed Balch of Hanover, New Hampshire passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 10th, 2025, after a 22-month battle with glioblastoma.

Beverly was born on December 17th, 1959, in Billings, Montana to Charlie and Marilyn Breed. She moved to Hanover at age 5, where she spent the rest of her life. She was married to Jeffery Balch, also of Hanover, on June 25th, 1983. They had two children together, Mikayla and Betsy.

Beverly will be remembered as a kind and caring person who always sought to make others feel happy and welcomed. She loved being with her family on their farm in Etna and at her cottage in Harpswell, Maine where she spent many childhood summers.

Beverly volunteered in the Hanover school system for several years before becoming a full-time educator. She also helped her husband with their business, J&B Plumbing, and worked at Dartmouth Hitchcock. She was a graduate of Hanover High School in 1978 and the University of New Hampshire in 1982.

She was predeceased by her father Charlie and her brother Alan. She is survived by her husband Jeff, their two children, her mother Marilyn, and her sister Debbie.

Family and friends are invited to Beverly’s visiting hours at the Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon on Friday, December 19th from 5 to 7 pm. A memorial service will be held at the Etna church on Saturday, December 20th at 2pm.
