Grafton, NH – Marguerite Frances Conley, 90, a longtime resident of Grafton, NH, passed Thursday morning, November 13, 2025, at Sunapee Cove in Sunapee, NH after a period of declining health.
Marguerite was born October 10, 1935, in Newton, MA, to the late Marguerite F. (Duncan) and William A. Conley. She earned a master’s degree from the Massachusetts School of Pharmacy and was a Pharmacist at Corner Drug in Hartford, VT.
Marguerite raised sheep, pigs, chickens, and turkeys on the family farm in Grafton. She also had several llamas and many cats over the years. She also enjoyed knitting, reading, and rooting for the Bruins.
Marguerite was a member of the NH Sheep and Wool Growers Association and the Continental Dorset Club. She was very active with the Grafton NH Ladies Auxiliary for the Fire Department and the Grafton Ladies Benevolent Society and a faithful communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Canaan.
In addition to her parents, Marguerite was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth A. Conley of Grafton, in 2010. She leaves behind close friends, Evelyn Teague of Grafton, NH, Michelle & Jim Riordan of Grafton, NH, Laurie Sullivan of Grafton, NH, and Anita Rossiter of Newton, MA, as well as many friends in the community of Grafton, NH.
Marguerite was well-loved loved in the town of Grafton and was a pillar of her community.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canaan, NH. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Grafton, NH. A Potluck gathering will follow at the Grafton Fire Department.
