Brownsville, VT – Edwin E. Reynolds passed peacefully in his home on October 4, 2025 following a long illness of Parkinson’s disease.
Edwin was born November 10, 1938 in St. Albans to Cedric and Hope (Grant) Reynolds.
He graduated from Montpelier High School and he attended the University of Vermont, studying political science. In 1961, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany. His military service was telephone station installer until 1964. After the Army, he worked for AT&T until retirement.
Edwin was an enthusiast. He loved skiing, flying, and sailing. He had a great passion for sport cars and Arabian horses. He loved playing his banjo and the harmonica.
Edwin was a member of the Green Mountain Horse Association and Vermont Equine Riding and Driving Association. He participated and also volunteered for many years.
He was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother, Grant. Survivors include his son, Eric, and his wife, Karin Reynolds of Nicholasville, Tennessee. His sister, Betti Jaquay Of Tinmouth. His former wife, Nancy Kolesnik of Nicholasville, Tennessee. Three grandchildren and four great grandchildren and several nieces and a nephew. His long time caregiver and friend, Christie St. Thomas of Brownsville.
Graveside celebration will be held on November 9, Meeting House Hill Cemetery, Orchard St., Brattleboro, VT at 10:30am.
