Northfield, VT – Terry Cross Howe, 78, of Northfield, was reunited with the love of her life, Dean, when she passed away on October 28, 2025 at Mayo Health Center.
A graduate of Chelsea High School, Terry attended the Mary Fletcher School of Nursing. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in the Adult College Program at Vermont College.
Over the years, she worked as an aide in the Northfield Elementary School, as an infirmary nurse at Norwich University, and helped found Good Beginnings of Central Vermont.
Terry loved spending time with her family and her dog, and reveled in crafting and decorating for the holidays. She always kept dog treats in her room in the event a four-legged friend would visit.
She is survived by her three children: Chris, Josh and Tara; and her grandchildren: Phin, Wyatt and Ava. The family greatly appreciates all those who’ve shown up and supported her in her life journey.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the United Church of Northfield at 11:30 am Sunday, November 2nd.
