The Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation will host a three-part speaker series about housing in the White River Valley in November.
Homeowners, developers and other experts will share their experiences and resources during each of the sessions, according to a news release from the White River Junction-based nonprofit organization.
“This series is about demystifying the housing process,” James Coleman, program manager at Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation, said in the release. “We want people to walk away feeling inspired and equipped to take the next step in their housing creation journey.”
The first session, titled “Creative Funding Strategies: How do we pay for it?” will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 6 at Seven Stars Arts Center (5126 Route 14, Sharon).
The second session, titled “What to know: Building Your Team or Being Your Own Contractor” will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 at the White River Craft Center (50 Randolph Ave., Randolph).
The third, “Make More Housing Without New Buildings” will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Bethel Town Hall (318 Main St.).
The free gatherings are being co-sponsored by HELM Construction Solutions, a Brattleboro-based construction firm.
