A 16-year-old from Corinth died on Sunday after her dirt bike collided head on with a Subaru Crosstrek in Orange, Vt.
First responders found Kaylee Bailey unresponsive on Richardson Road in Orange, near the intersection with Emery Road, on Sunday at 5:17 p.m., according to a news release from Vermont State Police. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision occurred as Kyle Hunt, 23, of Washington, Vt., was driving west on Richardson Road in a Subaru Crosstrek, police said. He turned south in front of a Kawasaki KLX140 dirt bike Bailey was driving east on Richardson Road.
Both vehicles sustained extensive front-end damage in the head-on collision.
Hunt was not injured.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
