Paul Francis Smollin
White River Junction, VT – Paul Francis Smollin, unexpectedly passed
away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 from injuries sustained in an
accident. Born on July 1, 1949, he grew up in Massachusetts and Rhode
Island, graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College and was in the Navy
Reserve. He married Joy, the love of his life, on July 6, 1974. Paul
received his Pharmacy degree from LIU and eventually started working
at Mary Hitchcock Hospital as a Clinical Pharmacist.
After 38 years, he retired from DHMC. Paul thoroughly enjoyed each day
of retirement doing whatever he thought needed to be done around the
house that day. He loved Muriel’s Donut’s in Lebanon, NH and could be
seen there every couple of days picking up fresh donuts. But most of
all he loved his wife, Joy, of 51 years and his daughter Lynn, and his
son, Lee. Paul made every day fun with surprise treats or gadgets he
thought we all needed. His family will be missing him for the rest of
their lives.
Family and friends are invited to Paul’s Mass of Christian burial at
the Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon on Monday September 22, 2025 at 11
AM. Burial will follow in the Valley Cemetery in Lebanon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hartford Rod and Gun
Club, St Jude’s or Tunnels to Towers.
Arrangements have been entrusted with the Ricker Funeral Home of
Lebanon, NH.
