LEBANON — Free walk-in health services will be offered Tuesday at the Lebanon Winter Shelter on Mechanic Street.
Lebanon’s community nurse and paramedic will provide care and referrals through the pop-up clinic.
“The long-term vision is to give unhoused people positive non-traumatic experiences around accessing resources,” said Amanda St. Ivany, Lebanon’s community nurse who is part of the city’s mobile-integrated health care team.
Services offered include, but are not limited to: help with medication and insurance, wound care, flu vaccines, help finding a doctor, Narcan, test strips for fentanyl, food, showers, haircuts and camping supplies, according to a flier distributed by the Public Health Council of the Upper Valley.
Any medical needs that can be addressed by the clinic will, while more serious needs will be referred to doctors at Dartmouth Health’s primary care outpatient clinic or the Emergency Department, St. Ivany said.
There also will be HIV and Hepatitis C testing. A $25 gift card will be available for those who haven’t been tested in the past three months.
The nonprofit WISE also will be on hand to assist people affected by domestic and/or sexual violence.
Services will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lebanon shelter, which is located at 160 Mechanic Street.
The same event will be held on Tuesdays Oct. 21 and Nov. 18 at the same location.
