Debra Ann Muzzey
Enfield, NH – Debra Ann Muzzey, 70, passed at The Jack Byrne Center in
Lebanon, NH, on Sunday, September 7, 2025, after a long battle with
Parkinson’s Disease.
Debra was born in Hanover, NH on September 23, 1954, to Jennie A.
(Dimond) and James W. Sousa.
Debra met Charlie Muzzey at the Canaan Fair, beginning a 20-year love
affair, which culminated with their marriage in 1989. She and Charlie
shared 55 wonderful years together.
Debra and Charlie enjoyed dancing, snowmobiling, watching NASCAR, and
going on motorcycle rides together. Debra did crafts with her mother
and her sister and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She made
many lap-top quilts for the Elks and Legion to be given to veterans.
Debra had a kind and loving heart and was devoted to her family. She
worked with her cousin, Mike, in his cleaning business and cared for
Charlie’s mother in their home before her passing.
In addition to her parents, Debra was preceded in death by her
brother, Ronnie Sousa. She is survived by her husband, Charles H.
Muzzey Jr. of Enfield, NH; sister, Elaine (Bill) Prior of Orange, NH;
brother, Mike Sousa of Orange, NH; sisters-in-law, Pauline Blish and
Donna Lockwood; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Muzzey and Michael Muzzey Sr.;
nephew, Mike Muzzey Jr.; close friend, Tom Lacroix; and many other
family members and friends.
Debra’s family would like to thank the Lebanon Elks for their love and
support through this difficult time, as well as the wonderful staff at
the Jack Byrne Center and the VT & NH Visiting Nurse Association for
the tender care given to Debra.
