CHELSEA — Following a resignation last week, the Selectboard is seeking a new board member.

Kevin Marshia stepped down during the Selectboard’s Sept 2 meeting, citing work-related travel as his motivation.

“I’m just not here enough,” he said.

The town is advertising the position on its website and on social media, Town Administrator Tierney Farago said in a Monday email. There is no deadline for the appointment.

“The Selectboard can appoint anyone they feel like is a good fit for the position,” Farago said.

The term will last until someone is elected during the next Town Meeting in March.

Those interested in the position are asked to contact Farago at 802-625-2023 or town.administrator@chelseavt.us.
