Robert “Bob” Lawson
Hanover, NH – Robert Lawson, 94, was called home on August 9, 2025, at
Wheelock Terrace in Hanover, NH, after a courageous battle with
pancreatic cancer.
He was born on January 27, 1931, in Windsor, Ontario, to Florence and
Ronald Lawson. Robert grew up in Detroit, MI, where he attended
Pershing High School, and later pursued his passion for education at
the University of Michigan. His career as an educator spanned decades,
including many years as a professor and later as a dean at the
University of Calgary and The Ohio State University.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Alexandra, and his three
children, Victoria, Alec, and Sharisse. He was predeceased by his
parents, Florence and Ronald, and his sister, Shirley.
He will be remembered for his dedication to teaching, his sharp mind,
and his deep integrity. Above all, Robert cherished his family and the
many friendships he built over the years.
Robert will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
