CONCORD — New Hampshire families with children who received free or reduced school lunches can receive additional money for groceries this summer.

Families with children enrolled in the National School Lunch Program/School Breakfast Program and who also have benefits through the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program, or SNAP, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or TANF, or Medicaid during the 2024 to 2025 school year, will automatically receive one-time payment of $120 per child, according to a news release from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services’ Division of Economic Stability.

It is the second year in a row that U.S. Department of Agriculture has provided funding for the state’s Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer, or S-EBT, program.

“Keeping kids fueled and healthy is a year-round effort, and we are pleased that students in communities across the state will have access to a program dedicated to their continued growth and development,” Lori Weaver, commissioner of the Health and Human Services Department, said in the release.
