Article of note: As in previous years, voters will have the opportunity to appropriate municipal funds for social service agencies, including the American Red Cross, Tri-Valley Transit and the Vermont Association for the Blind. This year’s proposed appropriation, $26,200, would cover 89% of requested donations.
Contested races: No races are contested, with only one candidate running for each role.
Budgets and spending articles: The warning calls for operating expenditures of $2,418,146, of which $1,983,678 will be raised through taxes. This represents a roughly 2.1% increase in required tax revenue.
When, where and how to vote: Voting by Australian ballot will be held on Tuesday, March 1, from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the White River Unified Middle School, in the Bethel Campus gymnasium.
