CLAREMONT — Lebanon and Stevens opened their NHIAA high school swimming season on Friday night at a four-team meet at the Claremont Community Center that included Kearsarge and Fall Mountain.
Results included first and second place in the boys’ 50-yard free by Lebanon juniors Angus Hall (27:39 seconds) and Nicholas Lamontagne (30:22). Hall also won the 100-yard free (1:02:34).
Stevens sophomore Elise Smith was second in the 50 free (30:06) and first in the 100 free (1:10:24). and Stevens freshman Aubrey Herzog was third in the 50 free (30:09).
Cardigan Loupis, a Mascoma senior who is swimming for Lebanon, won the girls’ 100 backstroke (1:19:93). Lebanon junior Ellen Wolstenholme won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:24:62). Lebanon senior Madilyn Herring was second in the 500 free (7:14:79).
Stevens and Lebanon add Hanover for a three-school meet on Tuesday at the Carter Community Building Association’s Witherell Center pool.
