HANOVER — Finn Callahan’s first varsity goal made Costi Christodoulou a winner in goal for the first time as the Dartmouth College men’s soccer team edged Vermont, 1-0, at Burnham Field on Tuesday night.
Christodoulou doubled up on his firsts by recording the assist on Callahan’s marker at 34:05. The freshman midfielder took an outlet from his South African first-year teammaate and solved Catamount netminder Nathan Silveira for the match’s only strike. Christodoulou finished with four saves for Dartmouth, and Silveira went without a stop for UVM (8-4-2).
The Big Green (2-9-0) is on an Ivy League diet the rest of the way, beginning with a Saturday night visit from Columbia.
