HARTLAND — The bridge carrying Route 12 over Lulls Brook reopened on Sunday after an almost three-week closure as construction crews replaced the concrete deck to correct a “full depth hole” which had developed in the bridge.

A detour directing traffic to Routes 5 and 4 is no longer in effect, but the bridge will be restricted to one lane of alternating traffic during daylight hours through Tuesday while workers machine grind grooves into the deck and install bituminous bridge joints, the Agency of Transportation said in a news release.

A short cleanup period is likely after that, officials said.
