HANOVER — Dartmouth College will offer COVID-19 vaccination clinics on campus for students and college faculty and staff on May 5 and 6, the school announced Friday.
Run in partnership with the state of New Hampshire, the clinics will administer first-dose vaccinations to eligible members of the Dartmouth community who are 18 or older. The clinics will run from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on those two days in early May at the Thompson Arena, the college’s hockey rink.
“We are excited to be able to offer our community this opportunity, which we hope will help bring us even closer to a more normal on-campus environment,” Dr. Lisa Adams and Josh Keniston, the co-chairs of the Dartmouth COVID-19 Task Force, said in an email Friday afternoon to Dartmouth students and staff.
The vaccinations, open to any Dartmouth students or staff regardless of whether they live in New Hampshire, require an appointment via http://dartgo.org/vaxappt. Dartmouth said the state will provide doses of either the Moderna or the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
Dartmouth plans to announce dates of subsequent clinics for a second dose when details have been finalized.
State officials said some other entities, including University of New Hampshire and some school districts, have also been offering similar clinics.
