WEST LEBANON, NH — Frank W. Kier, 74, died Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor, VT, following a brief illness. Frank was born September 27, 1946 in East Rochester, NY a son of George and Bernice (Frohm) Kier. He graduated from East Rochester High School class of 1965. He continued his education at SUNY Fredonia where he completed his undergraduate, masters and additional graduate studies. He worked in the Southwestern School District in Jamestown, NY as a high school French teacher and later as a kindergarten and third grade teacher. He had a passion for teaching and loved to expand his mind through furthering his education. Frank retired in 2003 after thirty eight years of teaching. In 2012 he moved to Cornish, NH to be with Donald Kantor. They were married November 15, 2014 and moved to West Lebanon in 2017, where they have been since. Frank enjoyed life by collecting antiques and Christmas memorabilia, he loved flower gardening and passing the time knitting. He enjoyed spending time with many wonderful friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by a son Geoffrey Kier Frank is survived by his beloved husband Donald Kantor of West Lebanon; the beloved father of Craig Kier and his wife Rebecca of Yardley, PA, Heidi McDaniel and her wife Kristen of Jefferson, GA and Aaron Kier and his wife Stephanie of Jamestown, NY; and grandfather of 7. A private graveside service will be held in the Comings Cemetery in Cornish, NH at the convenience of the family. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction has been entrusted with arrangements.
