LEBANON — Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is easing some of its pandemic-related restrictions on visitors at the Lebanon hospital and some of its clinics and facilities in the Upper Valley starting on Monday.
Among the changes — patients at DHMC who are COVID-19 negative can have one visitor at a time, and pediatric patients can have two visitors at a time.
In addition, one visitor may accompany a person on an outpatient appointment, as needed. At the DHMC birthing pavilion, a partner/spouse can again be present during labor and delivery.
For patients undergoing end-of-life care, as many as three visitors at a time will be allowed.
Visitors must continue to wear masks, even if fully vaccinated, and anyone who is symptomatic, or who has had a known COVID-19 exposure in the past 14-days, may not visit one of the D-H facilities.
“The changes reflect current conditions including the decrease in active COVID-19 cases in New Hampshire, Vermont and across much of New England. These guidelines will remain in effect until such time as conditions change and it is necessary to revisit our policies due to public health and safety concerns,” D-H said in announcing the new guidelines.
Among the facilities they apply to are DHMC, D-H’s Heater Road facility, the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care and the Lyme Road Clinic.
