LYME — A zoning amendment backed by the Planning Board to encourage the development of senior housing near municipal and social services won approval among Lyme residents on Tuesday, 406-191.
But they rejected a proposal to combine the positions of tax collector and town clerk into one elected post, 349-257.
In contested elections, Sarah Glass defeated School Board Chairman Jonathan Voegele, 479-111. In a six-way race for three seats, Jennifer Boylston (456 votes), Elizabeth Glenshaw (448) and Yolanda Bujarski (394) all won seats, outpacing Barbara Wilson (162), Nicole Tadlock (129) and Fiona Kling (110).
Meanwhile Planning Board Chairman John Stadler turned back a challenge from Rich Brown, 339-247.
Voting on the town and school budget has been postponed until May.
