POMFRET — Voters re-elected two Selectboard members and tapped a third candidate, who’s a political newcomer, to serve on the board in Australian ballot voting on Tuesday.
They also approved a $1.46 million town budget in a 434-26 vote. The Pomfret budget is 1.2% higher than the budget approved the previous year.
On the Selectboard side, voters re-elected incumbent Steve Chamberlin with 336 votes over former board member Frank Perron Jr. (125).Selectboard member Chuck Gundersen was re-elected to a one-year position with 414 votes, and voters elected Jonathan Harrington to a one-year position with 402 votes.
Gundersen and Harrington beat out incumbent Scott Woodward, who received 75 votes and challenger Tim Reiter, who received 29 votes.
Voters passed all articles on the ballot.
