NEWPORT, NH — Pauline Owen Rockwell passed away December 13, 2020 in Newport NH. She was born in 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School before moving to Schenectady, NY with her family. She worked at General Electric and married Burr Frasier Rockwell, a GE Electrical Engineer in 1948. She raised four boys in Burnt Hills, NY before retiring to New Hampshire with her husband in 1988. She had a great sense of humor, was an avid reader, superb cook, student of Impressionist Art and found great joy in her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years (Burr), a sister (Roberta), and 4 brothers (Donald, Richard, Earl, and James) She is survived by her sister in law (Marjorie) of Grantham, NH, two brothers (Thomas and John) Owen and her four sons- Gary Rockwell (Joyce) of Wilbraham, MA; Craig Rockwell (Jill) of New London, NH; Scott Rockwell (Marjorie) of Skaneateles, NY and Bret Rockwell (Anne) of Jericho, VT; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She will be laid to rest in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a time to be determined by the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the Adirondack Mountain Club.
