WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT — Karl “Boomer” Nott, 35, died unexpectedly Thursday December 10, 2020 at his parents’ home in the Dothan District of White River Jct., VT.
Boomer was born March 18, 1985 in Lebanon, NH the son of Keith “Percy” and Gloria (Lasure) Nott. He graduated from Hartford High School Class of 2003 where he played varsity football all four years of high school and was selected to play in the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl following his senior year. After graduation he worked with his father plowing snow and began a firewood business in the area. Boomer worked as a Registered Maine Guide for many years and has been operating Big Boom’s Northern Maine Adventures in Portage, ME for the last several years. Boomer especially enjoyed teaching young kids to hunt and offered free guiding service to kids under 15.
He also enjoyed following sports, particularly football.
He leaves his longtime partner, Danielle Wurtz and their children, Lillianna, Keagan, Gabriella and Katrianna all of Portage, ME, sisters Katrina Nott of White River Jct. and Alyssa Nott of Woodstock, VT, paternal grandmother, June Nott and her daughter Judy and maternal grandmother, Jean Cumby both of White River Jct.; Danielle’s parents John and Sandy Wurtz of Fairlee, VT as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends both near and far.
A celebration of his life with a cookout and bonfire will take place on March 20, 2021.
