■Trunk-or-treat from 5-7:30 p.m. on Halloween at the Bradford Fair, 66 Carson Lane. Crowd size will be monitored to maintain social distancing. Visit bradfordfair.org for more information.
■Trick-or-treating will be observed from 5-7 p.m. on Halloween. Residents encouraged to leave treats on a table outside the door unless 6 feet of social distancing can be maintained.
■On Saturday, Oct. 24, from 4-6 p.m., the recreation department is hosting a Spooky Ride for bike riders at Moody Park. The route is around two miles and helmets are required. $5 for an individual, $10 for a family. Visit claremontparks.com for more information.
■The city’s designated trick-or-treat hours are from 6-8 p.m. on Halloween. People handing out candy are asked to wear masks, give out individually wrapped items and refrain from giving treats directly to trick-or-treaters.
■Claremont is also replacing its annual Halloween festival with a drive-thru event from 3-6 p.m. at Monadnock Park. Each child participant will receive a bag of treats. Visit claremontparks.com for more information.
Cornish
■Trick-or-treating will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Halloween in Cornish Flat. People handing out candy are asked to give out individually wrapped items, provide hand sanitizer wear masks and refrain from giving treats directly to trick-or-treaters. Parents are asked to accompany all children younger than 14. Trick-or-treaters are encouraged to wear masks, stay six-feet apart from other family groups and not eat treats until they are home.
■The Enfield police and recreation departments will host a parade at 2 p.m. on Halloween. Cars will drive by and give candy to bystanders along the route. The parade will begin at the Enfield Fire Station and continue on the following roads: Main Street, Route 4A; drive through Lakeview Condos (turn onto Marsten Lane, turn onto Rocky Hill Way, exit to 4A from Potter Lane); continue down Route 4A; turn onto Shaker Hill Road and end at 25 Union Street (roughly 3 p.m.). Mask wearing and social distancing along the parade route is strongly recommended. Donations of candy for distribution are being accepted at the Enfield Police Department, Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Contact Emily via email psac@enfield.nh.us or phone 603-632-7501 for further details.
■Pick up a free pumpkin from noon-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, to decorate and return to the Town Common by Halloween. The jack o’ lanterns will be lit up for a display on Halloween night.
■The Fairlee Community Church is holding a Drive-thru Soup and Chowder Supper at 4 p.m. on Halloween. By donation. 802-333-9507.
■A drive-thru trunk-or-treat event will take place from 2-4:30 p.m. on Halloween at Hartford High School. Registration is required at hartfordrec.com.
■The White River Junction VA Employee Association will host a virtual Halloween and Harvest Decorating Contest. To enter the contest tag the White River Junction VA Employees Association (@WRJEA) in Halloween/harvest decoration photos by Oct. 29 or send a photo directly on messenger to be posted on its Facebook page to be voted on. Winner gets a prize.
■The city’s designated trick-or-treat hours 6-8 p.m. on Halloween. Participants are asked to provide individually wrapped items that can be spread out on a table instead of a communal bowl, practice social distancing and provide hand sanitizer. Trick-or-treaters are asked to stay close to home, wear a mask with their costume and practice social distancing.
■Carve a pumpkin and add it to the collection at Colburn Park to celebrate Halloween. Drop off pumpkins between noon-4 p.m. on Halloween. Display will be lit up from 6-9 p.m. with lights provided by the Recreation and Parks Department. Learn more and register at bit.ly/lightupleb.
■The Lebanon Public Libraries are joining with other libraries throughout the state from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 30 for a Halloween-themed Teen Night In. The event, which takes place on Zoom, includes games, costumes and a trivia challenge. Sign up required at leblibrary.com/node/4589.
■The town-designated trick-or-treating hours will be from 4-6 p.m. on Halloween. There will be no town celebration.
Orford
■Trick-or-treaters can stop by the front of the Orford Social Library for contact-free treat bags from 5-7 p.m. on Halloween. Masks and social distancing from other family groups required.
■A drive-thru trick-or-treat event will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Halloween in the parking lot at Randolph High School (24 Central St.) Each child will be given a Halloween Goodie Bag while supplies last.
■Chandler Center for the Arts will livestream a Halloween-themed production of “The Tragedy of Macbeth” at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 30. Tickets cost $15. Call 802-728-9878 or visit chandler-arts.org for more information.
Strafford
■Jack-o’-lanterns made by students at the Newton School will be on display from 6-8 p.m. on the Green in the Upper Village on Halloween.
■Storyteller Simon Brooks will present spooky tales for the family at 6 p.m. on Oct. 30 on Zoom. For ages 5 and up. Email jcushman@abbottlibrary.org to register.
■The Thetford Volunteer Fire Department will host a safe trick or treat site at the Thetford Hill Fire Station from 6-8 p.m. on Halloween. There will be decorations outside and firefighters will hand out candy.
■Creative Spirit Children’s Center will host a trunk-or-treat event from 4-6 p.m. on Halloween. Social distancing and masks required. To be a “trunk” call 802-333-4040.
■The American Precision Museum will host Halloween activities including a “pumpkin’ chuckin” activity, giveaways and demonstrations of vintage and modern machines, from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. $8-$20. americanprecision.org.
■Billings Farm & Museum will host A Family Halloween from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Oct. 25. Children in costume receive free admission when accompanied by a ticketed adult. The day includes costume parades, trick-or-treating, hayrides and crafts. Visit billingsfarm.org for more information.
