ENFIELD, NH — Douglas Ray Guthrie, Sr., 84, passed Thursday, September 10, 2020. He was born May 6, 1936 in Lubec, ME to the late Henry and Florence (Moore) Guthrie. Doug grew up in Lubec, ME and enlisted in the Marine Corps following school. He worked the majority of his life as security officer for Twin State Security and Investigations. Doug was a member of the Enfield United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed cabinet making and wood working projects. He was married to Pauline LaCroix on November 5, 1968.
Doug is survived by his wife, Pauline Guthrie; children, Tracy Gallo, Carrie O’Neal, Lorie Guthrie, Doug Guthrie, Jr., Donald Guthrie, Robert Guthrie, Lisa Guthrie, and Kenneth Thorstenson; 23 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Doug was predeceased by his daughter, Dawn Farnham, and all his siblings, Newton, Leroy, Jenny, Mahlman, Kathleen, Clifford, Gleason, Vivian, Mariam, and Daisy.
Family and friends are invited to Doug’s Memorial Calling Hours at the Enfield United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from Noon until 3:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. There will not be a funeral. Doug will be buried at the convenience of his family.
