LEBANON, NH — Katherine H. Courtemanche, 90, died peacefully Sunday, August 9, 2020 at her home, with her loving husband of 72 years holding her hand. Kathy (Peewee) first met her husband, Richard, when she was 7 years old and had a crush on him until the day she passed.

Born Katherine H. LaCount, September 21, 1929, she lived most of her life in Lebanon, NH.

Kathy was well known for her strong faith in God. Her family came first and she never hesitated to help a friend in need almost always going without for herself.

Kathy enjoyed her family, square dancing, bingo, camping and boat rides at her camp on Crystal Lake. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and also past member of the Catholic Daughters.

Kathy leaves behind her husband, Richard Courtemanche; sons, David (Sarah) Courtemanche and Mark (Cristen) Courtemanche; grandchildren, David Courtemanche, Jr. and Crystal Courtemanche; great grandchildren, Kobe Benoit and Bodie Benoit; brother, Albert (Jean) LaCount; brother-in-law, Gordon Courtemanche; and several nieces and nephews.

Kathy was predeceased by her parents, Perley and Margaret LaCount, and brothers, Perley LaCount, Jr. and William LaCount.

The family gives a special thank you to her wonderful and compassionate care givers, the VNH nurses and Dr. Brian Lombardo.

A private service is planned for her family.
