CANAAN, NH — Duane Wesley Mansur, 66, a lifelong resident of Canaan, NH, passed Friday, July 17, 2020 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. He was born in Hanover, NH on May 1, 1954 to Dorothy F. (Cross) and Leslie Paul Mansur. Duane graduated from Mascoma High School with the Class of 1973. He married Sharon Ann Willis on July 9, 1977 at the Methodist Church in Canaan, NH.
Duane was a well-known Truck Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator, owning his own rubbish and dirt company. Duane volunteered with the Canaan Fire Department in his younger days. He also coached Little League for many years and Softball, helping the coaching staff at Mascoma High School.
Duane enjoyed playing poker and racing cars with his sons and camping with and spending time with his grandchildren.
Duane is survived by his wife, Sharon Mansur of Canaan, NH; son, Keith (Tonya) Mansur, and grandchildren, Zoey, Dominick, Mia, and Keith, Jr. of Canaan, NH; son, Wesley (Linda Leavitt) Mansur, and grandchildren, Raeleigh Mansur of Canaan, NH and Brandon Lunderville of Charlestown, NH; brothers-in-law, Raymond (Pamela) Willis of Newport, NH and Michael (Lisa) Willis of Grantham, NH; and many friends.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy F. (Cross) Kendall and Leslie Paul Mansur; sister, Kathie P. Towery; and brother, Theodore R. Kendall, III.
Family and friends are invited to Calling Hours at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, NH 4-6:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 23, 2020. A Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 P.M. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 24, 2020 at Canaan Street Cemetery in Canaan, NH. We ask that those attending please wear a mask and observe social distancing for everyone’s safety.
