PERKINSVILLE — A fire burned through a Perkinsville home early Friday, displacing four people who were living there, according to Weathersfield Fire Chief Joshua Dauphin.

He said the fire started a little after 2 a.m. on the porch of a house on the 1200 block of Weathersfield Center Road.

Four tenants were in the single-family ranch-style home at the time the flames broke out, but they got out safely, according to Dauphin.

When crews arrived, they found the house engulfed in flames and worked for hours to put it out. They finally left the scene around 7 a.m.

The house was destroyed in the blaze.

Investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire, but they believe it’s accidental, Dauphin said.

The New Hampshire chapter of the Red Cross is working to find housing for the four tenants, according to a press release.
