ENFIELD, NH — Gerard Lozeau, (98), passed away on Friday, May, 29, 2020, in the comfort of his apartment surrounded by family members, a caregiver, and Bayada’s spiritual care counselor. He was born on October 17, 1921, in Hanover, NH, the son of Ernest and Antoinette (LaPorte) Lozeau. He received his schooling at the Etna and Hanover NH schools. He married Theresa Dauphinais (deceased), of Enfield, NH, on September 3, 1945. They moved to Enfield, where they resided all their married life. He worked on his father’s farm until 1945. He then went to work for Kendrick & Davis of Lebanon, NH. In July 1959, he started working for the Dartmouth College Medical School complex. He was a devout Catholic of St. Helena’s Church in Enfield, NH. He was also a member of the Lebanon and Hartford Elks.
Gerard was predeceased by his wife, Theresa Lozeau, and his son, Anthony Lozeau. He was also predeceased by his brothers Andrew, Maurice, Raymond, and Roland, and his sisters Ernestine and Germaine. He is survived by his five children: Richard Lozeau (Carmen), Andrew Lozeau (Shirley), Marie Stebbins (Stephen) Regina Gaudette, Denise Bean (Dana), and his daughter-in-law Francine Lozeau; 15 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Theresa Nadeau of Canada, Cecile Hoza of Florida, and Sister Jeanette Lozeau of Canada, and his brother, Lionel Lozeau of Sharon, VT. Survivors also include many nieces and nephews

Our family wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation for the kindness and compassionate care our Dad received during his last days of life. The sensitivity and compassion of the Bayada Hospice staff (nurses, home health aides, social workers, and spiritual care counselor), and the in-home caregivers hired to help us through a very difficult time will never be forgotten.
