TUNBRIDGE, VT —Frank D. Fletcher, Sr., 71 died Monday, May 4, 2020 at his home in Tunbridge, VT.
He was born November 19, 1948 in Lebanon, NH, the son of Raymond P. and Verna M. (Becker) Fletcher. He attended grade school in White River Jct. and Roxbury, VT and later went to Northfield High School in Northfield, VT.
On December 4, 1970 he married Diane Stender of South Royalton, VT. They made their home in South Royalton and later moved to Tunbridge.
For close to 20 years Frank drove school bus for the South Royalton School and Randolph Area Technical Career Center. He really enjoyed his job and the kids really liked him, many sending get well cards and pictures during his absences. Prior to becoming a school bus driver Frank spent many years as a “Jack of All Trades,” doing jobs ranging from property maintenance to automotive repair, farming and everything in-between. His greatest accomplishment was that of loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed greatly.
Frank loved camping on Lake Champlain with his family, fishing and capturing beautiful photographs of the sunsets. He spent a lot of time tinkering on his computer and enjoying deer hunting in his younger years.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diane Fletcher of Tunbridge; two daughters, Dyana Fletcher, also of Tunbridge and Crystal Walker of Randolph, VT; four grandchildren, Eve, November, Aydan and Edyn.
He was predeceased by his parents and a son, Frank Fletcher II in 2006.
