NORTH HAVERHILL — A woman who lived at the Grafton County Nursing Home died last week, after testing positive for COVID-19 the week before.
“Our medical providers believe COVID-19 was a contributing factor to this resident’s passing,” Craig Labore, the North Haverhill nursing home’s administrator, said in a Saturday email.
There have been no new positive cases identified at the nursing home in either staff or residents since the woman who died Tuesday tested positive for the respiratory disease on April 22. The resident was tested after a traveling nurse who worked at the nursing home for a few days in mid-April developed symptoms and tested positive for the disease.
After a thorough cleaning of the unit where the resident — who was over age 60 — lived and the nurse worked, the nursing home reopened it on Friday, Labore said.
