ENFIELD, NH — Gladys Adams, 86, passed away February 26, 2020, with her family by her side. She was born April 11, 1933, to the late Mary and Robert Cook. Gladys married the “Love of Her Life,” Howard Adams, on January 7, 1961, and they first made their home in Lebanon, NH, and then many years in Enfield, NH.
Gladys worked many years for The New England Telephone Company. She was very active in her community organizations. She was proud of her family and had many friends. She traveled with Howard on many adventures. Her life was so special and she enjoyed the weekly get-together with her sister, Jeanette, and niece, Denise.
Gladys was preceded in death by her sister, Doris White; sister, Jeanette Cook; niece, Denise Martin; and nephew, Leon Adams, Jr. Her husband of 59 years, Howard, passed away days after Gladys.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Tim and Tina Martin, Jean Adams, Vicki and Walt Daniels, Tina and Shannon Davis; and many close friends and family.
They were happy with the time they spent with their family in Vermont and the special help they received from Tim and Tina Martin during their final days. They will be sadly missed by Jean Adams and her family in Vermont, but we all have such special memories of the time spent with them.
There will not be any calling hours or funeral for Howard and Gladys. A graveside service will be announced in spring.
