LYME — Residents approved a $7.19 million budget during Lyme’s annual School District Meeting.
They also voted in favor of all seven articles on the warrant for the floor meeting Thursday evening, according to Lyme Town Clerk Patty Jenks.
The budget is a decrease of about $130,000 from the one voters approved for the 2019-20 school year. Jenks said there was little discussion and no amendments made to any of the articles before approval during the hourlong meeting.
In addition to the budget, voters approved the cost increases that come with a four-year teachers’ contract, which goes into effect next year. The contract will give almost every teacher a 2% salary increase every year for the next four years.
Incumbents Hayes Greenway and Vincent Berk were both reelected to the School Board.
