Silo Distillery in Windsor will need to make room for a new medal on its walls.

The distillery just took home a Good Food Award from the Good Food Foundation’s annual ceremony in San Francisco for its flagship vodka. First selected in a blind taste test, Good Food Award finalists are then vetted to ensure they adhere to high standards of environmental and social responsibility.

Silo Distillery, which entered the contest for the first time this year, makes several varieties of vodka, gin and whiskey and recently added a semi-dry cider to its line of products. The cider was also a finalist for a Good Food Award. The Good Food Foundation praised the vodka for its “distinct Vermont terroir.”

Vermont Amber Organic Toffee in White River Junction also took home an award for its pumpkin seed chipotle toffee.
