AMSTERDAM, N.Y. — Hanover trailed by five at the half and six at one point in the third quarter, but ran out of gas in their final game of the Amsterdam (N.Y.) Holiday College Showcase, falling 57-39 to Queensbury (N.Y.) on Sunday afternoon.

Caroline Adams scored 10 points, and Maddie McCorkle and Melissa Whitmore had seven.

On Saturday, the Marauders picked up their only win of the showcase with a 53-51 victory over Troy (N.Y.). Willet Parkins scored a career-high 19 points.

The Marauders are now 3-2 overall and 2-0 in NHIAA action. They visit Kingswood on Friday.

Lebanon 62, Conant 38

MANCHESTER — The Raiders led by four at the half and pulled away in the third to win the consolation game of the Manchester Central tournament.

Catherine Cole scored 13 points and Megan Gradijan had seven.

The Raiders are 1-0 in league play and host Bow on Friday.

Sunapee 76, Newport 50

KEENE, N.H. — The Tigers were led by Will Cross’ 26 points in the final day of the Noyes VW Holiday Tournament at Keene State College.

Sean Moody added 15 for Newport (0-2), which hosts Fall Mountain on Thursday.

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — The Tigers competed in six weight classes over the weekend and recorded at least one win in each class. They finished fifth out of 16 teams.

Anson Ritondo went 5-0 at 106 pounds and won his first championship.

Joshua Sharron (138 pounds) went 4-0 and Mike Wilkinson (145) also won a championship, going 5-0. Marius Edwards (160 pounds) finished the weekend with a third-place finish with a 4-1 record.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL Buffalo 73, Dartmouth 49

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Big Green were led by Veronica Kelly’s career-high 12 points and Annie McKenna added 10 points, but it wasn’t enough to pick up the road win.

Asha Taylor hit three 3-pointers and Katie Douglas finished with eight points.

Dartmouth (6-6) has now dropped three of its last four games.

The Big Green closeout 2019 with a visit to Loyola (Md.) on Tuesday.
