ENFIELD, NH — Roland J. Frechette, 86, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019. He was born in Berlin, NH to the late Peter & Georgianna (Blanchette) Frechette. Roland enlisted in the US Army, serving during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, he married Joan Weiss and settled in Groveton, NH. Roland worked as a millwright for the Groveton paper company for over 25 years. When he was young, he enjoyed riding his Indian motorcycle and play guitar. He was a member of the St. Marguerite d’Youville Parish in Groveton, where he was a member of the Folk Group and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Frechette, of Enfield, NH; daughter, Gail Yearke, and her husband Russell of Enfield, NH; granddaughter, Pricilla Flynn; great grandson, Logan Humphrey; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two children, David Frechette and Maryann Flynn; and four siblings, Arthur Frechette, Olivette Bisson, Florence Pilotte, and Iren Lagasse.
