WEST LEBANON — A 60-year-old woman from Canada is in critical condition after being hit by a car while crossing Route 12A, according to authorities.
Police received a call about the crash around 6:45 p.m. Sunday on Route 12A in front of the Upper Valley Plaza.
Roxane Dufour of Montreal was crossing the road from McDonald’s to the plaza when she was hit by 32-year-old Wilson Mazile, of Hanover, who was driving southbound on Route 12A, police said. Crews from the Lebanon Fire Department and the Lebanon Police Department responded to the scene, where they gave Dufour medical care before she was taken to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for her injuries.
Dufour was in critical condition on Monday, according to a DHMC spokeswoman.
Lebanon Police are investigating the crash and have not issued any charges. Alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, a Lebanon Police news release said.
