NORTH HAVERHILL — A Fairlee man received a suspended sentence and was ordered to pay back over $1,000 that he stole from a pizzeria where he worked.

Blake Manning, 29, pleaded guilty to theft by unlawful taking Friday at Grafton Superior Court for the incident in 2018, when he stole $1,284 from Sbarro Pizza in the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center food court. Police investigated the theft in October 2018 and arrested Manning in late December.

He received a one-to-two-year suspended jail sentence Friday, meaning that he can avoid prison time if he complies with court orders. The sentence ordered Manning to repay Sbarro Pizza $1,283 and not to visit the eatery again.
