STOCKBRIDGE, VT — Ben H. Goddard Jr., 74, lifetime Stockbridge resident, died early Thursday morning, October 10, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Randolph on March 2, 1945; the son of Ben H. Goddard Sr. and Charlotte (Whitcomb) Goddard. He graduated from Whitcomb High School and worked for Stanley Tool in Pittsfield from 1966-2009 then Advanced Illuminations from 2011 until retiring in 2016. Ben was married to Tammy Shonio in Stockbridge on September 12, 1992. He was a member of the VAST Snowmobile Club and VASA Four Wheeler Club, and enjoyed gardening, four wheeling, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Survivors include his wife Tammy A. Goddard of Stockbridge; daughter Kimberly Aldrighetti and husband Tim of Bethel; stepson T. J. Shonio of Barre; sister Becky Morse of Stockbridge; previous wives Sandra Adams of Bethel and Edith Royea of Barnard & FL; 4 grandchildren, William Aldrighetti, Tim Aldrighetti, Olivia Shonio, and Victoria Shonio; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Don.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, October 19th at Maplewood Cemetery on Stockbridge Common, with Pastor Thomas Harty officiating.
